Britt Marie Hermes
I am a writer, scientist, and former naturopathic doctor.
In 2015, I started the blog Naturopathic Diaries to expose serious issues with the growing field of naturopathy. I am the only whistle-blower of naturopathic medicine.
My writing can also be found at Forbes, Science 2.0, KevinMD and Science-Based Medicine.
I am a PhD student in a joint research position at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology (Plön, Germany) and the Institute for Experimental Medicine (Kiel, Germany). My research focuses on the interaction between commensal skin microbiota and host genetic variation and its influence on chronic inflammation.
